Responsibilities: * Work with other members of the project team and business owners to refine and clarify business requirements. * Work closely with web experience developers to support front end development best practice as well as help support bank-wide adoption of customer web experience standards, and techniques. * Produce technical specifications from project requirements. * Code and test software to meet ING DIRECT standards and within acceptable defect tolerances of design specifications. * Support and review the work of other developers. * Properly track progress, effort, issues and resolutions. * Communicate and document status to project leadership. * Work with IT and business test groups to support quality and acceptance tests. * Assign development activities to self and other developers. Track progress of assigned activities.
Ensure that all code retains logical stability, reliability, confidentiality, and integrity of ING DIRECTs systems is in accordance with ING DIRECT policies, procedures and guidelines, taking appropriate actions for all violations.
Qualifications: * Several years experience developing web based Java applications. * Experience with multi-tier system design and implementation. * Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience. * In-depth knowledge of Java. * In-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, CSS-driven layouts, and web standards. * In-depth knowledge of AJAX, including DOM scripting and object-oriented JavaScript coding. * Experience with other Web development and graphic design software, including Photoshop and Flash, is a plus. * Knowledge of enterprise application design patterns. * Solid interpersonal skills. * Ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal form. * Exceptional problem solving abilities. * Experience with agile methodologies a plus
